Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden and Bette Boatmun Conservation Garden, Concord - These 2 demonstration gardens showcase water-wise and pollinator-friendly landscapes. The Bette Boatmun Conservation Garden, created in 1991 by replacing nearly an acre of lawn, now displays over 100 drought-tolerant variesties of groundcovers, perennials, shrubs, and trees. The P. H. Instructional Garden highlights native and pollinator-supporting plants in an educational setting. Accessibility: Flat, wide paths make both gardens easy to explore.
