Botanical illustrator and our club member Lee McCaffree, speaking on her time as Botanical Artist in Residence at the famous Oak Spring Garden, the 700 acre estate of Paul and Rachel “Bunny” Mellon in Virginia. Her horticultural interests and philanthropy established the Oak Spring Garden Foundation on the property to serveas a center of study inspired by Mellon’s love of plants and landscape design. It holds residencies, symposiums and workshops and opens the extensive horticultural library to researchers.

Future Montelindo Garden Club meetings October 16: Ikebana demonstration by Tony and Susan di Stefano, always crowd-pleasers. November 20: "The Allure of Tulips" with Lisa Phillips and Kitty Cole. A tulip bulb sale will also take place. December 11: Annual holiday luncheon with Lucky Draw items and fancy baskets assembled by our talented members. Sunrise Bistro will cater, in the Lafayette Library Auditorium.
We meet on the third Friday of each month, except December, and June-August.
